In mid- March, according to Carmella Bell, broker with ResortQuest Real Estate in Destin, the project was "at firm contract stage prior to the start of construction." Once construction begins on the 47-unit condo development, the building will take approximately 16 - 18 months to complete, she said. Bell also said that 11 of the originally released residences have sold. Prices for the remaining three- and four-bedroom units range from $625,000 - $797,000, and the sizes of the units for sale range from 1,837 square feet to 2,203 square feet, she added. "This is the first new gulf-front devel- opment in this location and has the lowest priced new gulf-front residences in a three- county area," Bell said. Among the amenities offered, Blu will include two pools, a spa and fitness area and an expansive deck.
